Living with food allergies can be a real downer. Especially when you are at a birthday party and can’t eat the cake! Well, worry no more! I have come up with a recipe for a DELICIOUSLY creamy vanilla frosting that can rival any store bought brand!!!
This recipe contains NO gluten, soy or dairy! I am usually pretty bad at frosting a cake without shredding the top of the cake into a million tiny crumbs that get stuck in the frosting. This frosting, however, is very easy to spread!
If you prefer a stiffer frosting, either use less water or add more powdered sugar to firm it up. For me, this consistency is perfect! See the recipe below. 🙂

A DELICIOUS, smooth and creamy, flavorful frosting that can rival any store-bought brand!
- 2 cups powdered sugar (confectioner's sugar)
- 1/2 cup gluten, dairy, and soy free margarine (softened) (I use Earth Balance Soy Free)
- 2 Tbsp water
- 1 tsp gluten free vanilla extract (I use McCormick)
- 1 pinch salt
Sift the powdered sugar into a mixing bowl to get the lumps out.
Add all of the rest of the ingredients into the bowl and mix with a whisk until thoroughly combined.
*If you prefer a thicker texture, either use less water or add more powdered sugar until desired consistency is reached.
