Easy 3 Ingredient Tater Tot Casserole

January 9, 2020 by BlessingsInSurprise

Looking for a super easy weeknight meal that takes almost no effort?  This tater tot casserole has only three ingredients and can be thrown together in a flash!

Here’s all you need:

  • One bag of frozen tater tots
  • Shredded cheese (I chose Cheddar cheese.)
  • Bacon (3 thick cut strips, or make it extra easy by using pre-packaged bacon bits)

First, cook the bacon (unless you are using pre-cooked bacon bits.)  Reserve the bacon grease after cooking and use it to grease your 9″ x 13″ pan.

Next, place the tater tots in the bottom of the pan.

Cover with bacon.

Cover with cheese.

That’s it!!!

Just heat it up in the oven at 400 degrees for about 25-30 minutes, or until it is warmed through.  (If you thaw the tater tots first, it may not take quite as long.)

All that’s left is serving it up!  If you want to be extra fancy, you can even top it with sour cream, scallions, and/or chives.

If you want to complete the meal in the same easy manner, just throw a bag of steamable veggies in the microwave, and you’re all set!  Serve up this 3 ingredient wonder any night of the week, and enjoy all of the extra time you gain!
